9-22-19 – ENERGY COHERENCE: Perceiving the Interconnection of the Physical and the Metaphysical [In The Now Taping, with guest Kio Zak, parts I,II,III,IV]

Today’s slides:
1. Revelation 10:
8 The the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: “Go, take the scroll
that lies open in the hand of the angel, who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
9 So, I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it
and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’”
10 I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in
my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.

2. “The effect of intestinal permeability on the brain can be dramatic and far-reaching: headaches, brain fog, poor concentration, and short-term memory loss are common symptoms. Some will experience depression or anxiety. Others become hyperactive, impulsive, or short-tempered. The toxic load on the brain disables the higher circuits for love, beauty, creativity, and joy.
“In this condition, you have absolutely no chance of experiencing the higher states of consciousness.” — Dr. Alberto Villoldo, Grow a New Body, 2019

3. Vagus Nerve – communication network between brain and stomach; affects mood, digestion, and metabolism
Enteric Nervous System – 100 to 500 million neurons in the gut.
Serotonin – most important neurotransmitter in ENS; regulates mood and cognition. An imbalance in serotonin levels in the gut enable intestinal permeability, thus sending signals to the brain (e.g., sleep deprivation, bad food cravings).

4. Intestinal Permeability (Leaky Gut)
1) Gluten (Zonulin)
2) NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) / PPI (proton pump inhibitors)
3) Stress (gastrointestinal disorders)
Too much stress can alter the composition of your gut’s bacteria (dysbiosis or imbalanced microbiome)

5. Energy Centers (Chakras)
1) Solar Plexus – inner fire, will, energy, self-esteem, and personal evolution.
2) Throat – enables us to resonate with things and brings about joy. Communicate with nature, mind, and body.
3) Third Eye – source of intuition, vision, clairvoyance, and imagination. Often associated with pineal gland in the brain that produces melatonin, a serotonin-derived hormone that regulates sleep.

9-15-19 – A MERRY HEART DOES GOOD LIKE A MEDICINE: Serotonin, Dopamine, Endorphins, and the Healing Power of Happiness, Part III

Today’ Notes:

I – “A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”
(John 10:10 – The Message)

II – “Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I Am]; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.”
(John 16:24 – AMPC)

III – “Each happy chemical triggers a different good feeling. Dopamine produces the joy of finding what you seek– the “Eureka! I got it!” feeling. Endorphin produces the oblivion that masks pain– often called “euphoria.” Oxytocin produces the feeling of being safe with others– now called “bonding.” And serotonin produces the feeling of being respected by others–“pride.”
– Loretta Graziano Breuning

IV – “Brain wave tests prove that when we use positive words, our “feel good” hormones flow. Positive self-talk releases endorphins and serotonin in our brain, which then flow throughout our body, making us feel good. These neurotransmitters stop flowing when we use negative words.
– Ruth Fishel

V – “A lot of people forget how taking a walk in nice weather alone is very uplifting. It gets the serotonin working, and it’s not super taxing. It puts life in perspective. You see things passing by and the majesty and timelessness of the world. And it’s totally free.” – Delphine Hirsh

VI – “When you eat chocolate, it can release certain chemicals in the brain that improve serotonin levels to help us feel good, help us feel calm.” – Lona Sandon

VII – “Now, I’m no scientist, but I know what endorphins are. They’re tiny little magical elves that swim through your blood stream and tell funny jokes to each other. When they reach your brain, you hear what they’re saying and that boosts your health and happiness. “Knock Knock… Who’s There?.. Little endorphin… Little endorphin who?… Little Endorphin Annie.” And then the endorphins laugh and then you laugh. See? Its Science.” – Ellen DeGeneres

9-8-19 – A MERRY HEART DOES GOOD LIKE A MEDICINE: Serotonin, Dopamine, Endorphins, and the Healing Power of Happiness, Part II

Today’s Notes:
I – “My son, forget not my law or teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; For length of days and years of a life [worth living] and tranquility [inward and outward and continuing through old age till death], these shall they add to you. Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart. So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. It shall be HEALTH to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.”
(Proverbs 3:1-8 – AMPC)

II – “My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, HEALING and HEALTH to all their flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.”
(Proverbs 4:20-23 – AMPC)

III – “Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and HEALING to the body.”
(Proverbs 16:24 – AMPC)

IV – “A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works HEALING, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”
(Proverbs 17:22 – AMPC)

V – “The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up or bear?”
(Proverbs 18:14 – AMPC)

VI – “it makes sense that we should concentrate not merely on avoiding negative emotions, like fear and anger, but also on consciously cultivating heartfelt, positive emotions, such as gratitude, joy, excitement, enthusiasm, fascination, awe, inspiration, wonder, trust, appreciation, kindness, compassion, and empowerment, to give us every advantage in maximizing our health.”
― Dr. Joe Dispenza

VII – “You don’t stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.”
– Michael Pritchard

9-1-19 – Part I – A MERRY HEART DOES GOOD LIKE A MEDICINE: Serotonin, Dopamine, Endorphins and the Healing Power of Happiness

Today’s Notes:
I – “A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”
(Proverbs 17:22 – AMPC)

II – “A joy-filled heart is curative balm, but a broken spirit hurts all the way to the bone.”
(Proverbs 17:22 – The Voice)

III – “A cheerful heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit makes one sick.”
(Proverbs 17:22 – TLB)

IV – Serotonin: Serotonin is a neurotransmitter with functions in various systems of the body. In the central nervous system serotonin works to regulate mood, appetite, sleep, memory and learning. When present, the neurotransmitter acts as something of a connector between cells, and is associated with a feeling of happiness or decreased anxiety. Serotonin is a major part of many popular drug treatments for depression and anxiety. SSRI’s or Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors (like Prozac and Zoloft) help to maintain the serotonin connection between cells.

V – Dopamine: Dopamine is both a neurotransmitter and a neurohormone produced in multiple areas of the brain. As a hormone it is often associated with pleasant experiences. Receiving an unexpected reward may cause your heart to speed up and increase your alertness due to the sudden release of dopamine. As a neurotransmitter it transmits signals associated with concentration and motor skills. Conditions such Parkinson’s Disease and schizophrenia are associated with an interruption in the brain’s production of dopamine.

VI – Endorphins: Any of a group of endogenous peptides (such as enkephalin) found especially in the brain that bind chiefly to opiate receptors and produce some pharmacological effects (such as pain relief) like those of opiates.

VII – meme: “I have decided to be happy because its good for my health. ~Voltaire
