What is Meditation?

“Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. It is the means for fathoming all the levels of ourselves and finally experiencing the center of consciousness within. Meditation is not a part of any religion; it is a science, which means that the process of meditation follows a particular order, has definite principles, and produces results that can be verified.
In meditation, the mind is clear, relaxed, and inwardly focused. When you meditate, you are fully awake and alert, but your mind is not focused on the external world or on the events taking place around you. Meditation requires an inner state that is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent. When the mind is silent and no longer distracts you, meditation deepens.”

Today’s Notes:
I – “Then Jacob AWOKE FROM HIS SLEEP and said, ‘Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.’ And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is THIS place! THIS is none other than the house of God, and THIS is the gate of heaven!”

I – REVIEW FROM LAST WEEK

OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN
Our Mother, Father, nurturer, supporter creator,
Energy of light that lives among us in all things as all things,
Energy of love that lives within us,
Help me to recognize your light within; that it may create within me the Kingdom of Heaven.
HALLOWED BY THY NAME
We invoke the sacred, holy essence of the creative energy of the universe, Each time we speak your name.
We join the millions of beings who have traveled the earth,
Each time we speak your name.
We invoke the energy, intention & creative power of these millions, Each time we speak your name, thus magnifying the effect of our prayers.
THY KINGDOM COME
Right now, we invoke the kingdom of heaven we create in our inner space,
Right now, we invoke the peace, love, joy, abundance, wisdom, courage & inspiration that you are, because it is also within us as we are your beloved children in whom you are so well pleased.
Right now we invoke the powerful creative force that creates the Kingdom of Heaven, knowing that this force lives within us as we nurture it through prayer, meditation & emotional healing.
And we create this Kingdom of Heaven as an inner force when we invite, expand & invoke your light within.
THY WILL BE DONE
As we align with your light, your light heals our hearts & minds, transforms our ego’s distortions & aligns our will with your will in a way that is for our greatest good. As we are aligned with our soul’s best interests, we are aligned with your will.
My will & thy will are one, My will & thy will be done.
ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
As I align my will with thy will, this ethereal alignment is reflected on the earth. As I align my will with thy will, my life becomes more easy & effortless,
As I align my will with thy will, my joys become magnified.
As I align my will with thy will, conflicts, dramas, & difficulties are mitigated. As I align my will with thy will, I create the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.
GIVE US THIS DAY, OUR DAILY BREAD
Each day, we turn our faces to the light,
Each day, we receive the guidance, nurturing, support & reassurance of God’s Grace.
Each day, we open for renewal, inspiration, encouragement, & healing of God’s Grace.
Each day we look to God as the source of our supply, our abundance & our love, knowing that God works through an infinite number of people, places & events to deliver to her children their needs.

II – AND FORGIVE US OUR OFFENSES AS WE FORGIVE OUR OFFENDERS
In the state of grace, we see ourselves as you see us, God.
In the state of your grace, we are worthy, whole, complete, loved, lovable & willing to be at peace with ourselves & our world because the grace that we feel is the source of our joy.
In the state of your grace, we are filled with a sense of peace & purpose, & we are poised to explore the possibilities of co-creating our good with your help.
Therefore, we need not hold others accountable for what they did or didn’t give us. In this state we need not hold others accountable for what they didn’t do for us or what they did to us. That is between you & them.
In this state of your grace, we can release them from any debts we believed they owed us, for we now know that you are the source & you work through unlimited resources to bring us what we need.
In this state of your grace, we no longer have to contort ourselves, betray ourselves, withhold from ourselves out of self-judgment or martyrdom, or punish ourselves. We know that we are forgiven – yet there is nothing to forgive.
We have always done the best we could at any given time, & in this state of your grace, we are loved by you unconditionally, so we forgive ourselves, yet there is nothing to forgive.

III – AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
God in this state of your grace,
Where we are aligned with your will,
There is no separation,
There is no guilt,
Therefore, there is no conflict between the tormenting of our ego voice,
& the truth of your voice. Therefore, there is no temptation.
God, in this state of your grace,
Where we are aligned with your will,
There is no separation,
There is no guilt,
Therefore, there is no conflict between the tormenting of our ego’s vision & the clarity of your vision. Therefore, there is no temptation.

IV – BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL
Through your grace, you have already delivered us from the pain & suffering created by the ego.

V – FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM AND THE POWER AND THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER
And we are delivered into the consciousness of heaven here on earth. We accept this realm of being, its power & its glory as our new state, & we will not go back.

VI – AMEN
We release this prayer into the powerful substance of creation, making it so as divine co-creators with you.
