4-14-19 – NEW THOUGHTS: Opening the Windows of Perception to Let the Spirit-Wind Blow, Part II

Freestyle, Enjoy!

Today’s Quotes:
“The light for your earthly life is perception. Therefore, if your perception is without fault, your whole life shall be enlightened. If your perception be evil, your whole life shall be darkened by it; if the light for you is darkness, how deep will your darkness become?”
(Matthew 6:22, 23 – Khaboris Manuscript)

“Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world.” – George Bernard Shaw

3-17-18 – THE WISDOM OF WHOLENESS: Tuning In to Wellness and Healing Your Life, Part III

Today’s Notes:

I – “…In the crowd pressing around Jesus, there was a woman who had suffered continuous bleeding for 12 years, bleeding that made her ritually unclean and an outcast according to the purity laws. She had suffered greatly; and although she spent all her money on her medical care, she had only gotten worse. She had heard of this Miracle-Man, Jesus, so she snuck up behind Him in the crowd and reached out her hand to touch His cloak.
Woman (to herself): Even if all I touch are His clothes, I know I will be healed.
As soon as her fingers brushed His cloak, the bleeding stopped. She could feel that she was whole again.
Lots of people were pressed against Jesus at that moment, but He immediately felt her touch; He felt healing power flow out of Him.
He stopped. Everyone stopped. He looked around.
Jesus: Who just touched My robe?
His disciples broke the uneasy silence.
Disciples: Jesus, the crowd is so thick that everyone is touching You. Why do You ask, “Who touched Me?”
But Jesus waited. His gaze swept across the crowd to see who had done it. At last, the woman—knowing He was talking about her—pushed forward and dropped to her knees. She was shaking with fear and amazement.
Woman: I touched You.
Then she told Him the reason why. Jesus listened to her story.
Jesus: Daughter, you are well because you dared to believe. Go in peace, and stay well.
(Mark 5:24-34 – The Voice)

II – “If a person’s basic state of mind is serene and calm, then it is possible for this inner peace to overwhelm a painful physical experience.” — The Dalai Lama

III – “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” — Socrates

IV – “I learned this, at least, by my experiment; that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.” ― Henry David Thoreau

V – (meme pic) Healing is the return of the memory of wholeness. Healing, health, whole and holy all mean inclusiveness. Body, mind, spirit, environment, relationships, social interactions are all one wholeness, and you’re a part of that wholeness. – Deepak Chopra

VI – “To be great, be whole;
Exclude nothing, exaggerate nothing that is not you.
Be whole in everything. Put all you are
Into the smallest thing you do.
So, in each lake, the moon shines with splendor
Because it blooms up above.”
― Fernando Pessoa

VII – “In every atom, there is a reflection of the whole.” ― Jay Woodman

3-10-19 – THE WISDOM OF WHOLENESS: Tuning in to Wellness and Healing Your Life, Part II

Today’s Notes:

I – Lepers (shouting across the distance): Jesus, Master, show mercy to us!

Jesus: Go now and present yourselves to the priests for inspection of your disease.

They went, and before they reached the priests, their skin disease was healed, leaving no trace of the disease that scarred them and separated them from the community.

One of them, the instant he realized he had been healed, turned and ran back to Jesus, shouting praises to God. He prostrated himself facedown at Jesus’ feet.

Leper: Thank You! Thank You!

Now this fellow happened to be, not a Jew, but a Samaritan.

Jesus: Didn’t all ten receive the same healing this fellow did? Where are the other nine? Was the only one who came back to give God praise an outsider? (to the Samaritan man) Get up, and go your way. Your faith has made you healthy again.

3-3-19 – THE WISDOM OF WHOLENESS: Tuning in to Wellness and Healing Your Life, Part I

Today’s Notes:

I – Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!
(Proverbs 3:5-8 – AMPC)

II – “My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.”
(Proverbs 4:20-22 – AMPC)

III – “A sound mind makes for a robust body, but runaway emotions corrode the bones.”
(Proverbs 14:30 – The Message)

IV – “Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.”
(III John 2 – TPT)

V – “Now when I hear about someone’s illness, no matter how dire their predicament seems to be, I know that if they’re willing to do the mental work of releasing and forgiving, almost anything can be healed. The word incurable, which is so frightening to so many people, really only means that the particular condition cannot be cured by ‘outer’ methods and that we must go within to affect the healing. The condition came from nothing and will go back to nothing.” – Louise Hay

VI – (meme pic)
Feeling sad can alter levels of stress-related opioids in the brain and increase levels of inflammatory proteins in the blood that are linked to increased risk of co-morbid diseases including heart disease, stroke and metabolic syndrome. ~Univ of TX Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), Dec. 16, 2015

VII – “We’ve in fact conditioned ourselves to believe all sorts of things that aren’t necessarily true — and many of these things are having a negative impact on our health and happiness. We’re addicted to our beliefs; we’re addicted to the emotions of our past. We see our beliefs as truths, and not as ideas that we can change.” – Dr. Joe Dispenza

2-17-19 – THE LIBERATED HEART: Freeing Yourself from the Past and Breaking the Addiction to Fear, Part III

Today’s Notes:

I – “There is no fear where love exists. Rather, perfect love banishes fear, for fear involves punishment, and the person who lives in fear has not been perfected in love.”
(I John 4:18 – ISV)

II – “Love will never invoke fear. Perfect love expels fear, particularly the fear of punishment. The one who fears punishment has not been completed through love.”
(I John 4:18 – The Voice)

III – “There is no illusion greater than fear.” ― Lao Tzu

IV – “How would your life be different if you learned to let go of things that have already let go of you? From relationships long gone, to old grudges, to regrets, to all the ‘could’ve’ and ‘should’ve,’ to the dead friendships you still hang on to… Free yourself from the burden of a past you cannot change.” – Dr. Steve Maraboli

V -(meme) In the process of letting go you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself. — Deepak Chopra

VI – “Free yourself from the poisonous and laborious burden of holding a grudge. When you hold a grudge, you want someone else’s sorrow to reflect your level of hurt, but the two rarely meet. Let go… Sometimes, forgiveness is simply a reflection of loving yourself enough to move on.” ― Dr. Steve Maraboli

VII – “We accept the love we think we deserve.” ― Stephen Chbosky

2-10-19 – THE LIBERATED HEART: Freeing Yourself from the Past and Breaking the Addiction to Fear, Part II

Today’s Notes:

I – “Fear does not exist within the Love, but rather perfect love (mature love; love having reached its goal) repeatedly (habitually; progressively) throws the fear outside, because the fear constantly has and holds a pruning (a curtailment; a checking; restraint; a lopping off – thus, a correction). But the one habitually fearing or dreading has not been perfected within the Love (has not been brought to the destined goal of maturity – in union with love).”
(I John 4:18 – JMNT)

II – “Love never brings fear, for fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts. Whoever walks constantly afraid of punishment[a] has not reached love’s perfection.”
(I John 4:18 – TPT)

III – “Free yourself from the poisonous and laborious burden of holding a grudge. When you hold a grudge, you want someone else’s sorrow to reflect your level of hurt, but the two rarely meet. Let go… Sometimes, forgiveness is simply a reflection of loving yourself enough to move on.” ― Steve Maraboli

IV – “There are so many people whose minds do not belong to them. There are so many people whose thoughts have been purchased by people. There are so many people who have made people kings and queens of their thought. There are so many people who cannot sleep because of people. There are so many people whose lives are a small percentage of their own self and a greater percentage of others. When the offenses of people occupy your mind, your mind becomes the offenses of people instead of your own mind. To have your own mind and to be your own self, free your mind!” ― Ernest Agyemang Yeboah

V – “My brothers, I do not consider myself to have fully grasped it even now. But I do concentrate on this: I leave the past behind and with hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead I go straight for the goal…”
(Philippians 3:13 – Phillips)

VI – “Worry pretends to be necessary but serves no useful purpose.”
― Eckhart Tolle

2-3-19 – THE LIBERATED HEART: Freeing Yourself from the Past and Breaking the Addiction to Fear

Today’s Notes:

I – “There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.”
(I John 4:18 – The Message)

II – “…there’s a philosophy which embraces the concept that love is the only emotion, and that fear is just an illusion…the idea is that when you have a fearful or anxious thought, you should say to yourself, “love did not create this thought, and so it is not real”…it’s an admittedly abstract proposition, but I’m suggesting that you open yourself up to it, at least for tonight…when you’ve tried everything else, you can always count on love to do the impossible…as the Scriptures say, “love never fails”…It’s also been said that whenever you’re afraid, it’s proof that you’ve turned your back on love, and chosen to have faith in the ego…again, the concept is out of the box, but definitely worth consideration…Paul said, “And yet I show you a more excellent way” as a lead-in to his classic love chapter…love is always the more excellent way…As I often say, don’t overthink it, but try this as a spiritual experiment…whatever is going on in your head this evening, tell yourself “if love did not create it, it’s not real”…if nothing else, you’ll have a whole new perspective on your situation, and new solutions may suddenly occur to you once you’re no longer trapped in the fear/anxiety loop…
#JESmeditations

III – “We sense love, but we don’t believe in it. We save our faith for fear. But ultimately, there is a quiet voice in each of us that longs for something better.” ― Gabrielle Bernstein

IV – “When you evoke fear you set into motion the physiology of stress that accelerates biological aging. You must let go of this fear in order to reverse aging. When we think fearful thoughts we cause our bodies to go into stress. Our heart rate increases, we release adrenaline into our bloodstream and we even change the flow of our blood. Imagine doing this on a regular basis, day after day for your whole life! Fear causes us to exhaust ourselves.”– Deepak Chopra

V – “But giving up fear is like giving up sugar: they’re both sneaky ingredients that hide out in almost everything. And just when you think you’ve got that craving under control, suddenly it rears its not-so-pretty head again.” ― Gabrielle Bernstein

VI – “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.”
(2 Timothy 1:7 – AMPC)

VII – [meme pic] at 1:12:
Love is what we are born with.
Fear is what we learn.
The SPIRITUAL JOURNEY is the
unlearning of fear and the acceptance
of love back in our hearts.
–Marianne Williamson
