IV – Quantum Theory
Around the same time, the world was learning about quantum theory, and the concept of a quantum field, or source plenum, from which all matter arises. With it came evidence that we’re all participants in an observer-based reality, of sorts; that our focused attitudes, intentions, and actions may interact with an unseen mechanism to create our personal and collective reality. It confirmed Jung’s observations, and he referred to this field as unus mundus – a unified world. In this unified world, coincidence is only an indicator of an underlying reality.
Jung’s observations were based on the rejection of a coincidental, one-dimensional life, and instead, the recognition that we engage in the world in a very complex way through our psyches, our energies, our emotions, and our actions and experiences. Seeing life this way, it becomes less a series of coincidences mixed with our projections and manipulations, and instead of a far more interactive (albeit far more mysterious) experience. Life becomes a unified co-creation that is answering your questions. Life is reflecting to you what it is you need to know.

VI – THE SYNCHRONISTIC MODEL
Jung based the synchronistic model on three characteristics of spiritual potential.
1. MEANINGFUL COINCIDENCE
Random events happen sometimes with very specific, personal meaning.
2. CAUSAL CONNECTION
Despite there being no apparent material cause and effect, there is an undeniably profound personal significance, and so an apparently intentional connection at play.
3. LUMINOSITY
The indication that all of this happens within a kind of shared field of divinity, in communion with a greater whole. Across most life experiences, these three aspects actually do work to describe something that happens in everyone’s life, even though no one knows exactly how.

Today’s notes:
I – “…for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
(Acts 17:28 – NKJV)

II – In this verse, Paul quotes a poem called Cretica by Epimenides, a Cretian poet, where Minos, the king of Crete and son of Zeus, addresses Zeus as follows:

“They fashioned a tomb for thee, O holy and high one–
The Cretans, always liars, evil beasts, idle bellies!
But thou are not dead. Thou livest and abidest forever,
For in thee we live and move and have our being.”

This poem is also quoted in Acts 17:28:
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

The last part of Acts 17:28 also quotes Aratus’ Phaenomena, which states in part:
“From Zeus let us begin; him do we mortals never leave unnamed; full of Zeus are all the streets and all the market-places of men; full is the sea and the havens thereof; always we all have need of Zeus. For we are also his offspring; and he in his kindness unto men giveth favourable signs and wakeneth the people to work, reminding them of livelihood…”

IV – SYNCHRONICITY: The coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (such as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality —used especially in the psychology of C. G. Jung. It happens to everyone sooner or later: A certain number pops up wherever you go; an old friend you haven’t seen in 20 years since high school appears the same day you’re looking at her picture in a yearbook; you’re singing a song and turn on the radio – and the same song is playing. Such coincidences, here described by Thomas Ropp in the Arizona Republic, March 29,1999, are examples of synchronicity. The concept is linked to the psychology of Carl Jung. Jung didn’t coin the word (the “simultaneousness” sense of “synchronicity” was already in use), but he gave it special importance in his writings. Jung believed that such “meaningful coincidences” play an important role in our lives. Today, some people even look to synchronicities for spiritual guidance.

I – “Athenians, as I have walked your streets, I have observed your strong and diverse religious ethos. You truly are a religious people. I have stopped again and again to examine carefully the religious statues and inscriptions that fill your city. On one such altar, I read this inscription: “TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.” I am not here to tell you about a strange foreign deity, but about this One whom you already worship, though without full knowledge. This is the God who made the universe and all it contains, the God who is the King of all heaven and all earth. It would be illogical to assume that a God of this magnitude could possibly be contained in any man-made structure, no matter how majestic. Nor would it be logical to think that this God would need human beings to provide Him with food and shelter—after all, He Himself would have given to humans everything they need—life, breath, food, shelter, and so on. This is the only universal God, the One who makes all people whatever their nationality or culture or religion. This God made us in all our diversity from one original person, allowing each culture to have its own time to develop, giving each its own place to live and thrive in its distinct ways. His purpose in all this was that people of every culture and religion would search for this ultimate God, grope for Him in the darkness, as it were, hoping to find Him. Yet, in truth, God is not far from any of us. For you know the saying, “We live in God; we move in God; we exist in God.” And still another said, “We are indeed God’s children.”

Today’s Notes:
I – “Indeed, I am now saying (or: I am truly saying now) that whoever may say to this mountain (or: in this mountain), ‘Be picked up, and be cast (thrown) into the midst of the sea,’ and may not be undecided or be divided in his discernment or judgment within his heart, but to the contrary, can (or: may; would) continuously trust and believe with confidence that what he is speaking is progressively occurring (or: birthing itself; coming into existence), it will proceed being [thus] for him (or: by him; to him; in him; with him).”

II – In the micro-world of atoms and particles that is governed by the strange rules of quantum mechanics, two different observers are entitled to their own facts…in other words, according to the best theories of the building blocks of nature itself, facts can actually be subjective…multiple realities can and do co-exist…reality manifests (or realities manifest) in the Multiverse…the glass is simultaneously half-full AND half-empty…the phrase in Genesis in the original Hebrew isn’t “In THE beginning, God created…”, it’s actually “In A beginning, God created…”…Moses sends 12 men to spy out the land of Canaan, and 10 of them come back with a completely different story than that of Joshua and Caleb, and yet they are all telling the truth about what they saw there…on the Day of Pentecost, Peter stands up and sternly rebukes his audience for murdering an innocent man, and in the very same breath says that the crucifixion happened according to God’s plan…the worst thing that ever happened to you can be the best thing that ever happened to you…

Multi-dimensional reality is an important part of ancient wisdom…Jesus spoke of the manifestation of a 30fold, 60fold, and 100fold return of the same seed that the sower sowed…Paul talked about the “good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God” being the proof of the renewed mind…the Tree of Life has infinitely more branches than does the limited, binary choices offered by the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil…

Observers are powerful players in the quantum world, and this goes deeper than just the “perception is reality” piece…perception is undoubtedly important, but the reality is that “reality is reality”…according to a certain theory in quantum physics, particles can be in several places or states at once…this theory is called a superposition…oddly, this is only the case when the particles aren’t observed, however…the second you observe a quantum system, it picks a specific location or state, which breaks the “superposition”…the fact that nature behaves this way has been proven multiple times in the lab, as the subatomic world is studied…”if any 2 or 3 of you agree as touching anything” simply means “if any 2 or 3 of you see and agree on the existence of the same reality”…
Keep turning the dial until you find your right reality today…everything is everything…let him/her who has an ear, hear…

1-5-20 – OPEN THE EYES OF MY HEART: Meditation and 20/20 Vision for 2020, Part I

I – “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. I was attending a service this past weekend, where I was challenged to list the top ten happenings that occurred in my life in 2019. As I began the process of pondering, second on my list was that we chose to get involved with Metron’s Meditation weekends. One after the other, we were pulled into a positive energy vortex in which we have no regrets. It is with high expectation and resolve that I begin year 2020, living in the now, looking forward to connecting with the optimistic people of Metron. As I was writing this, I was thinking what a Wonderful World I live in and as synchronicity would have it, from my TV Louis Armstrong begins to sing What a Wonderful World. Jim, Ken and Metron family, we thank you for allowing us to do life with you.”

If you got ahead of your skis and made grandiose public declarations about what you’re going to do and be in the new year, and now you’re already feeling stressed about how you’re going to do and be all that, just take a deep breath and let it go…you can still accomplish great things this year without stressing yourself out about the specifics and the details…you can still hold yourself accountable without painting yourself in a corner, and making yourself unnecessarily miserable by your own well-intentioned words of faith…you can still speak amazing things into existence without being legalistic about it…
It’s all good…just relax, and let it unfold however it’s going to unfold…
Find the balance between being a creator and a control freak…the sweet spot is somewhere there in the middle…
Intention with detachment is the more excellent way…

I honor the passing of Reinhard Bonnke. Ten years ago this month another great general of the faith passed on, Oral Roberts. Reinhard Bonnke passing marks “the surprising power” of oppressed peoples taking their equality. The power of partial revelation passes away that greater clarity and 20/20 vision will come.

It will be a time of spiritual opposites…instead of the oppressed dying away the “spirit” and disposition of the oppressors will die away. Equilibrium will bring up all marginalized peoples, but I will use Oral Roberts’s son to stand in proxy as an example.

Oral Roberts son Ronnie was gay, as is his grandson Randy. Oral Roberts and the culture he cultivated, dehumanized the gay community to the point where Ronnie committed suicide, and Randy almost did as well. I prophesy that the passing of Reinhard Bonnke is a sign and a wonder that the oppressed will rise up and take their place of equality and it won’t be through militancy but it will be due to the anointing shining through the eyes and it will be exactly as when the soldiers came for Jesus and he said “I AM he” and they fell back.

I – A Christmas Carol. In Prose. Being a Ghost Story of Christmas, commonly known as A Christmas Carol, is a novella by Charles Dickens, 1st published in London by Chapman & Hall in 1843 & illustrated by John Leech. A Christmas Carol recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley & the spirits of Christmas Past, Present & Yet to Come. After their visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.
Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol during a period when the British were exploring & re-evaluating past Christmas traditions, including carols, & newer customs such as Christmas trees. He was influenced by the experiences of his own youth & by the Christmas stories of other authors, including Washington Irving and Douglas Jerrold. Dickens had written 3 Christmas stories prior to the novella, & was inspired following a visit to the Field Lane Ragged School, one of several establishments for London’s street children. The treatment of the poor & the ability of a selfish man to redeem himself by transforming into a more sympathetic character is the key themes of the story. There is a discussion among academics as to whether this was a fully secular story, or if it is a Christian allegory.

A Christmas Carol captured the zeitgeist of the mid-Victorian revival of the Christmas holiday. Dickens had acknowledged the influence of the modern Western observance of Christmas & later inspired several aspects of Christmas, including family gatherings, seasonal food & drink, dancing, games & a festive generosity of spirit.

V – Dr. Wayne Dyer’s famous quote, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” is absolutely true…it’s been proven in the world of quantum physics & is explained as ‘The Observer Effect’…Jesus said, “Unless a person changes his/her mind (μετανοέω: metanoeó), he/she cannot enter the Kingdom of God”…and, ideally, the Christmas season is all about changing the way we look at things…You don’t have to jump off of a bridge, & have Clarence the angel jump into the icy water after you to save you, to show you that you’ve really had a wonderful life…you can realize it right now, & change your present by changing the way you look at your past…you don’t have to have 3 ghosts visit you in the middle of the night to scare the bejeezus out of you, & cause you to have a completely transformational paradigm shift about life, about money, about relationships, & about yourself…you can have that paradigm shift right now, right here, in the light of day, & enjoy the season for what it is…you don’t have to steal Christmas from the people of Whoville, only to realize that Christmas is something more, & then have your heart grow 3 sizes bigger…you can look at someone differently & experience rapid heart-growth right now…you don’t have to witness a massive angelic choir serenading shepherds out in the middle of nowhere, in the dead of night, for no apparent reason…you can embrace the concept of “peace on earth, good will to the people” in your own relationships right now, right where you are…you don’t have to wait for eastern magician-astrologers to be led by celestial light to a foreign country to worship an infant King…you can follow your own star right now, into another dimension, & worship your God in your own way… Today is a great day to connect with the nexus for the visible and invisible realms, where a virgin can somehow conceive, &, inexplicably, the Word can actually be made flesh & dwell among us…today is a great day to allow Him to appear, and to allow your soul to feel its worth…you need a little Christmas, right this very minute…you need a little Christmas now…” – Jim Swilley
